How Much Money Did Ant Man Make

We still haven't recovered from the devastation that was Avengers: Infinity War. However, our beloved Paul Rudd is coming to save us as Ant-Man in the long-awaited Ant-Man sequel,Ant-Man and the Wasp. In this film, Rudd's character, Scott Lang is trying to juggle being a superhero and a dad, and it looks like he's bitten off more than he can chew.

Luckily, ‎Evangeline Lilly's character Hope van Dyne has his back as the Wasp, so we're sure that their mission against whatever villain they are facing is going to be a bit more humorous and adventurous than the storm of terror that we witnessed Thanos reign upon the Avengers. Though Ant-Man was nowhere to be found when his friends were protecting the Infinity Stones, Ant-Man and the Wasp is very important to the fate of the Avengers.

Just after Civil War

  • Scott Lang is trying to recover from another stint in prison

Scott Lang was simply trying to get the hang of his Ant-Man suit when Captain America called him up to help him to fight against Iron Man.

After the events of Captain America: Civil War, it appears that Scott went home to do some inner soul searching. Marvel's official synopsis ofAnt-Man and the Wasp states,

In the aftermath ofCaptain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past."

Next : Scott Lang has been up to no good.

Under house arrest

  • Scott might not be facing Thanos, but he certainly has his own problems to deal with

As we know from the Marvel comics and Ant-Man, trouble always seems to follow Scott Lang. Though Captain America eventually frees him from prison after that whole airport brawl in Civil War, he doesn't actually get off Scott free.

While the rest of the Avengers opt to go on the run, Scott and Hawkeye choose house arrest so that they can stay connected with their families. Though there is no sign of Thanos in the first Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer we do see Scott getting fitted for an ankle monitor. Scott is clearly facing some personal challenges in this film.

Next : A parallel timeline

Overlapping with Infinity War

  • The timeline ofAnt-Man and the Wasp is pivotal

Since we haven't seen Ant-Man and the Wasp we don't know exactly if Scott and his ragtag group of friends will be affected by Thanos and his stones of mass destruction. However, we're not so naive that we don't believe the characters of this film won't also feel Thanos' wrath.

We have a sneaking suspicion that at least a few important characters will find themselves turned to dust, and quite frankly, we aren't that excited about it.

Next : A clue from an unlikely source

A massive clue

Scott Lang becomes Giant-Man

  • The MCU is welcoming new characters to the fold

Though Marvel has yet to confirm that Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp occur at the same time, actor David Dastmalchian, who plays Kurt gave fans a vital clue.

He told Nerdist, "I will say in excitement for Ant-Man and the Wasp coming from the magnanimous and incredible and mind-blowing movie that was Avengers: Infinity War and all of the incredible ways that the adventure played out, now we're going to come back into this world of Scott Lang and his relationship to Hope and Hank and his crew and other people we haven't met yet."

Next : An alternate universe

The Quantum Realm

The Quantum Realm

  • The microverse might be the key to the puzzle

Could the Quantum Realm be the key to cleaning up Thanos' deadly mess? In Ant-Man, we learned that the Quantum Realm is the infinite loop of dimensions that appears when Scott shrinks too far.

Perhaps the Quantum Realm dragged all of the dusted Avengers into a parallel universe, and they just need someone to help them get out? The Quantum Realm is also outside of the known universe, so if Scott and his crew were in it when Thanos snapped his finger, they probably wouldn't be affected.

Dastmalchian hinted to Nerdist, "It's such a more intimate, family story and yet as things get smaller and we go deeper into a microverse remember that there are very important elements that could play a crucial role in how things may fare in the future, for the Avengers, for Ant-Man."

Next : Witnessing Thanos' world

Post-Thanos

  • Could Ant-Man and his crew face Thanos themselves?

Dastmalchian ended his statement by saying, "I'm excited for audiences and fans to see Ant-Man and the Wasp on so many levels but one of them being the sci-fi elements and the important things that Ant-Man is at play with that will tie into what's happening with the Avengers."

We believe that we are going to see a bit of the world after Thanos rampage in Ant-Man and the Wasp, which means if he survives, Scott is going to know something is very wrong.

Next : Going back to the drawing board

The answer lies in the reshoots

Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne/The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly)

  • Marvel might be taking this film in a whole new direction

Whatever Ant-Man and the Wasp reveals about the Avengers, it's going to be insane. After all, Dastmalchian revealed that even though the film is set to open in July 2018, the cast and crew were doing reshoots as late as May.

He told Nerdist, "We just shot something, I hope it makes it into the film because they love to continue to add and write new scenes based on where we're at with the film. And we open pretty soon, but we were just adding some stuff recently, and I hope it makes it because it's kinda trippy and cool and crazy. "

Trippy certainly sounds like a quantum universe to us.
